Coffee Shouldn't Ask You To Pick A Side
Most coffee brands make you choose: bold or smooth, strong or subtle, one house roast for every hour of the day. We never thought that was fair to your mornings — let alone your afternoons, or the quiet half hour before bed.
So we built something different: coffee sorted not by how much caffeine it can put in you, but by how much character it brings to the cup. Bold and punchy for the moments that need a push. Rounder and smoother for the ones that don't. Quieter and more refined for when the day is winding down.
That's the whole idea behind Intensity. Not a caffeine race — a range of character, so the coffee actually fits the moment, instead of the other way around.
The Intensity System
Every coffee we roast carries its own Intensity Level, rated 1 to 5 — a measure of flavour, body and character. Not how much of a jolt it gives you. Each coffee is also clearly labelled Caffeinated or Decaffeinated, because the two things were never the same, and pretending otherwise never made anyone's coffee better.
Forge sits at a 5 — bold and punchy, built for mornings that need momentum. Core lands at a 4 — smoother and rounder, the kind of cup you come back to twice. Calm Decaf is a 3 — gentler by design, caffeine-free without being an afterthought.
Roasted Only After You Order
Most coffee sits in a warehouse for weeks before it reaches a shelf, and weeks more before it reaches you. We roast in small batches — only once an order comes in — which means your bag is never more than a few days old when it lands on your doorstep.
That kind of freshness is something the big coffee brands simply can't match, because their supply chains were never built for it. Ours was.
Behind Every Batch
The character in your cup starts long before it reaches the roaster. Forge blends three origins on purpose: Brazil for a creamy, plum-like body, Colombia for caramelised orange and candied peel, and Honduras for cocoa and a lemon-tinged finish.
Core pairs San Coffee's chocolate-recipe Brazil with Strictly High Grown Honduras from Cafesmo, grown above 1,350 metres. Calm Decaf comes from smallholder farmers in Colombia's Norte del Valle del Cauca, decaffeinated with a natural sugarcane process that takes out the caffeine, not the character.
We don't hide where our coffee comes from. We think it's worth knowing.
Exceptional, Without The Pretension
We're not interested in cupping scores nobody asked for, or coffee-snob jargon that makes a good cup feel unreachable. Great coffee should be something you actually enjoy — not something you have to earn the right to understand. Our mission is simple: make exceptional coffee accessible, roasted properly, and honest about what's actually in the cup.
